Did you Know?

That... In olden times it took approximately 6 months for a person to go from south to the north of India or vice versa. When people set out on foot for walkin through the terrains and plains to reach the other..lets say around the starting of october..and when they reach their destination its almost march. Yet, they didnt know the time scale then too well. This is the reason why.. when in south we have Maha Navratri (nine nights) festival.. in North they celebrate Raam Leela. South celebrates RaamNavmi six months later in march while.. in this time.. North celebrates Vasant Navratri.
