Ankhen

"...Aankhen oonchi hui to dua ban gayi,
Aankhen nichi hui to haya ban gayi.
Jo jhuk kar uthi to khata ban gayi,
Aur uth kar jhuki to ADA ban gayi..."

Eyes when are down, become shyness
When they are lifted after looking down, become guilt
And when they look down after lifting, become femine charm...}

Cat-Dog Theory

After a really long break, I am coming back to my BlogginWorld. I feel very strange around here..because everything has changed.(talking about the new template thatI have put up) I didnt get a chance to write many posts with the new one...So, my own blog looked alien to me the last time I opened it.
But, then again..Something new always intrigues me..and now I don't mind getting more acquainted with my newly furnished "e-home".

Moreover, I am making a come-back with an animal version of real life theories...now, that is something You are not going to believe. I have a MENTOR... just like those singers in Sa re Ga Ma Pa challenge have. But, my mentor is not in the singing oriented proffession..although he could try his hand in it...(ok, lets just ignore this bit of false-praise here :P) My Mentor is one of the Blogging geniuses that I have come across..and nowadays all I need to do is get a syringe of new thought flows from the conversations with him and formulate them into my blog.. Ofcourse he only gives the key that makes my mind working..and thats how I have seen success in my blogs.

Cat-Dog theory started off with a conversation about which pets he like. He sheepishly admitted liking dogs a lot..and also disliking cats to an extent because they are "mathlabi" types..beats me what he meant by that. But, he had the insight to quickly add "Dogs are very lovable" with a big grin. Come to think of it.. It is true! I mean.. U know the age-old saying..Dog is a MAN"s Best Friend..(not a woman') Women are known for their 'feline' nature..which is like referring them to cats. Women love cats and are to a certain extent crazy about them. My mentor said it is possible because "cats are clean". I chuckled and added "and men aren't". Ok, so that got me a scorn! (well, if ur sensitive too..then I might as well put this in brackets that men are dirty from head to toe..including their mind). Lol

But, u know the legendary scientific phenomenon.."opposites attract". Yes, perhaps that's the reason man's best friend is a DOG. Dogs are LOVABLE and LOYAL..characteristics which are quite alien to Men. Eh? (Ya ya, I might be getting tomatoes for this from my Mentor. :P) But, my Mentor says that Likes Repel and that's why Men and women fight. I wish to correct this assumption. Lets take things to the scientific level shall we? When two bodies repel each other than then more often than not they have nothing to do with each other. While when two bodies attract each other to an extent, then only friction is feasible. The main nomenclature upon which dogs and cats fight...and men and women fight could be this. (cant say much for the animals..but for humans, definitely!).

If you need to create friction between two bodies then they need to rub on each other (in the wrong way -is how we refer to in plain english). Friction is fight and the more a man and a woman fight the more attraction there is lying underneath the surface. Yes, suprised? Well, don't be. I say you cannot fight with a man or a woman unless there is some level of attraction. That is why in most movies, you can see the hero and heroine fight/rub each the wrong way through the first few meets...and it somehow creates this itch that one can't get rid of.. and finally could even end up in love! (who knows?). That's why husbands and wives fight, and as you fight the attraction increases tend fold. You tend to feel ruffled, troubled and bothered and this makes you more aware of your opponent. That is when you(as a man) would realize how cute your wife looks if she is mad...or how ruffled your guy's hair looks when he is tensed... :P

It goes without saying..that makin-up after a fight is the most delicious part of a relationship. (rootna aur manaana). So, here is what I want to conclude. If you happen to fight with a certain person of the opposite gender...then you should beware because you might just be fighting a crush in a parallel plane! It is also the reason why You cannot hate someone so easily. To hate a person you need to love them at some level (or really like). People...... let go of that hatred..because it is a proof that you are still attracted to him/her. On the other hand, when in the first stages of love : People.....I vote for war than for peace! :P Because, war will get you ready for the un-thinkable and finally along with a piece of ur mind..you will end up giving a piece of ur heart..and if it comes both ways..then PEACE IS RESTORED!

i have been tryin to blog for past 45 minutes...

After lot of ctrl V and ctrl C and Delete

My screen is still blank....

Goodmorning People.

Ps: u know how kiddish this sounds..like how kids used to go for potty training during which parents are like.."chalo, go and try" and after sometime.. they give up!
i mean kids wud sit there quietly playing and making doodles with their hands like.. its some sort of "duty" they have to do.. by sitting there quietly staring at u with wide eyes...
i mean kids are so innocent they wud sit there for hours till the parents come around and go "what dont u wanna go?'"
and the kid nods negative and then the parents swear..
"rascal, u dare not come again and ask that u wanna go. Now off u go.. "
and the kid looks panic stricken for few moments.. and then whisks off in their own world laughing and enjoying themselves.

Filmi Ishtyle

Hindi cinema has some priceless villains with some priceless filmi dialogues.. One of them being "AJIT" who is supposedly a smart Hi-Fi Gangster Typo with lots of girl(friends) around him and lots of men to do his job! Also the legendary Amrish Puri, Pran etc. For the following, You just have to imagine Ajit saying them in his characteristic drawl, with a smirk on his face and a few henchmen in the background !

Ajit (pointing to the hero) : Raaabert, Ise liquid oxygen mein phenk do..liquid ise jeene nahin dega aur oxygen ise marne nahin dega..
(**throw him in liquid oxygen..the liquid wont let him live and the oxygen wont let him die)

Side-kick: Lekin Baas, agar macbeth ka zahar pilaayen to kaisa rahega.
(**but boss, what if we give him macbeth poison?)

Ajit: Smaaaaart baaaaaye! Ise Hamlet poison de do.. ye To be se Not to Be ho jaayega!
(**Smartt boy, Give him Hamlet poison, he will become 'not to be' from 'to be' !!)

Ajit to a lady : 'Rosy let's be cozy ' !
Ajit to a lady : ' Lilly don't be silly ' !

-- imagine the sound of water running in the bath in the background --
Ajit to henchman and a lady ( yeah, yeah she's the same one!) :
'Michael you take the cycle,
Mike, follow him on your bike,
Tony, tum pony par jao
Uh, oh - Mona tum nahati raho' !!
(**Tony, go on ur pony
Mona, u keep bathing' !!)

--Lady ( with half torn sari ) to Ajit ( with lust written all over his face) --
lady : ' bhagwan ke liye mujhe chhor do'
Ajit : ' itni achi cheez to main bhagwan ke liye bhi nahin chhor sakta'
(** For God's sake leave me'
** I can't leave such a nice thing, not even for God')

Henchman (panting and sweating) to Ajit : ' Boss, Boss sona kahan hai ' ?
Ajit : ' Itna Bada maidan para hai, kahin bhi so jao '
(** where is the sona (gold)
** This is such a big park, sleep (so) anywhere )

Ajit: (pointing at the ever-bald father of the hero)
"Ise Varnish me daal dho, Finish acchi hogi"
(**Throw him in Varnish; the 'finish' will be good')

--situation: Ajit in his den, with henchmen hanging around; some of themgambling. Ajit fidgeting about somewhat.--
AJIT: Raabut, jaao Bhole ki beti ko uttha ke lao.
(**Robert, go get (abduct) Bhole's daughter)
ROBERT: Par Boss, woh to goongi aur behri hai...?!
(**But boss, she deaf and dumb is...?!)
AJIT: Ohohohohohohohooo! Bewakoof hum use geeta paatth karwane thodi laa rahe hain!
(**HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Moron, we are hardly getting to teach religious_text_Gita)

The scene: Pran is looking through a telescope at a safe from afar. He turns to his henchman and says (in the famous Pran style): "Woh safe Johnson and Johnson ka hai. Iss duniya mai siraf teen log uskokhol sakte hai."
"Kaun hai, boss. Kaun?"
And Pran replies (after an appropriate pause): "Johnson, Johnson aur mai."

Ajit : Taany, is kutte ko potaasium khila do
(**Tony feed this dog potaasium)
Tony: Lekin, sarkar, potaasium se kya hoga ?
(**but, sir, wat will potaasium do?)
Ajit: Pot isse uuper le jayega, haash isse aur uuper le jayaega aur opium isse khuda ke paas pahuncha dega.
(**pot will take him up, haash will take him above that, and opium will take him straight to God)

--Ajit is sitting in his garage thinking about a big maal comming fromBirmingham.--
Henchman Mac : Baas headache ho raha hai.
(**boss i have a head-ache)
Ajit : Head Aaek ho ya Do tumhe jaana he padega.
(** one(ache) or two head, u will have to go)

Hehe, To end it in a good note, remember when ur in trouble dial Ajit's hot-line.. and if not him atleast Raaaabut or Mona Darling will pick up the phone! Just wondering.. how Ajit will be useful for the 'match-fixing' scenario in Cricket World Cup.

--Ajit and his gang are watching the cricket match between India and Australia--

Ajit : Peter score kya hai [**wats the score?]
Peter : Baas aapne halath kharab hai. [**Boss, our situation is bad]
Ajit : Kyoon Kya Hooaa. [**why what happend?]
Peter : bass Pontingg chhake mar raha hai. [**boss, ponting is smashing the balls]
Ajit : Rabbert usse phone lagaon. [**robert, put him on phone]
Robert to Ponting : Ponting, hamara bass tumse baath karna chahta hain. [**our boss wants to speak to u]
Ponting : Ponting here. who is this ?
Ajit: Pyaar se humko log taaayliphoneee bolte hai. Soono Tum aabhi Irfan Pathan ke tesre gend per Midaan per catch dekar aauut ho jayoge.
Ponting : I cannot do this....We will loose the match!
Ajit : Tumhe aisaa karna hi padega ' Tumahari Maa hamaare kabze me hain.

[**people call me lovingly Teliphone. Listen, u right now give a catch and leave the ground in the third ball of Irfan
**you will have to do this.. ur mother is in our custody]

Hehe, Somehow the dialogues lose their charm in the translation. Nevertheless, this post was definitely a worthy one! psst...I did pick up the dialogues from random Websites! But, if u dare to ask anything more then...
High pitched filmi style growl ' mei tujhe chodooonga nahiiiiiiiii' :P

Spectrum 1

Im not quite sure what to blog about.. Sooo...Ur goinna have to bear with the different frequencies of the spectrum as you read this one!

Spectrum 1:
Ever wondered if in truth or dare which one wins first ? Obviously, the truth. Because telling the truth itself is daring enough! That's something that puzzled me a lot. I had it all planned in my mind that the truth is never leaving the honey-dipped lips.. not even for a second. But, lo and behold..truth not just left but also bounced off the surface and crushed through a couple of tall dark handsome men's chests and came back in time for me to put it under my heel and nail it there for a while! I did something unexpected ( for the world, but quite expected from me ). I went with my heart up my sleeve and dashed into the reality channel and blurted out my dard bhari ekta kapoor typish filmi story about the sequel of love. The person in the receiving end was obviously slamming his head on the wall, not sure if it is because of the way i portrayed myself..absolutely naughty as usual.. or if it is because he cant make heads or tails over what i am saying! (neither Can u.. i guessed that :P)

Ever dreamt of an Oasis in the desert? Hallucinating about baywatch also i bet!!! (whack) Focus now... (male brains especially) Ever dreamt of an Oasis in a desert..feeling thirsty and yearning for one sip of that priceless water..and then suddenly gettin caught up in a cyclone with rain pouring over you chilling you to the bone and leaving you soggy and messed up??? That's precisely the truth of life! You end up getting flooded in when just few minutes ago you were praying for a drop of water!

In my case, I literally banished the shakespearan plays..feeding them to scorpions in the desert, only to end up doing the rain dance in the middle of the barren land..and getting blessed by a bucket full of water. Of course, some barren lands..remain barren..no matter which side up! But, exceptions are going down the drain in this post...as for now, I just want to tell u ppl.. that Dream.. Dream big! But, then when reality hits you.. you Scream big too! :P Rain dance here would have to symbolize my whacky daring personality to do what 'thou shalt not doeth'. This resulted in a predicament of split-personality. (yes, i know this post is gettin weirder and weirder). Split-personality as in..where one side of the land looks like grassland and the other looks like Tibet..brrr. I am not quite sure if I Should walk on...to see if there lies a beautiful garden in the end..(destiny of the journey of course) Or perhaps I should just quit this spectrum and go for the next one :P

Yupp.. Ur prayers have been answered!

Public Private Business

A possible suprise for many, but innovative nevertheless.
It is a public toilet in Switzerland which is mirror from outside
but transparent from inside, that is the people can see "only" from inside.
If this was the case in India, I am sure as soon as a girl enters this cubicle
Boys would come running hither thither and break down the whole booth if possible
Not to mention, the "bachaoo" screams wont be any less of the shrieking Police siren.

Just a thought.... How can someone be comfortable in the loo seeing so many people around?
Valid point ain't it?

True Devotion

When I sat next to my mom, I had the sudden urge to hear a bed-time story. So out of the blue, My mom decides to recite something that she had heard from somewhere else. I ask her if it is long and interesting, to which she replies by merely chuckling and admitting that it is the most interesting piece of information that she had got. Praarthana is a sort of prayer that we offer to God. Prarthana means basically to seek the Almighty with devotion. One knows that Indian Mythology is full of "Karma" where it illustrates that each action has an opposite equal reaction. Sounds like Newton's Law doesnt it? The song of Alicia Keys called "karma" sings

"...what goes around..comes around...
what goes up must come down....
now who's crying..desiring...to come back..."

Karma teaches that you reap what you sow. So, there is a give and take policy. Same goes for a devoted Praarthana. We are needed to fulfill our duties.. and that is the price that we pay for seeking God. The one who fulfills his duties without even realizing them is a true "bhakt"(devotee).

Thus, comes a story here. One day, a man walks up to a passerby and asks for direction to a temple. The passerby gives the direction immediately using his indexfinger. Upon which, the

indexfinger admits that "it is the most useful finger of all because it is able to point out & give directions to people".
The middle finger says " that maybe so.. but God has created me taller than u for some reason.. so that I am the best"

the third finger said " you may all be true, but when seeking wealth and matrimony he needs to ornament me"

Then, all three looked at the little finger (pinky) and said " you are not useful for anything because you can't surpass us in any way. Its a total waste to have you with us". The finger kept quiet...

The next day, that person decides to go to the temple. There, he did his usual namaskar with his arms posed in the Indian style.. --> _______/!\_______
At that time the Little finger(pinky) touched each other like all fingers.. and finally The little finger said " because of your pride, greed, and over-confidence, you have lost the chance to do darshan(view) of God first. I am the first peron who will get the blessings of the Lord always!".

Moral of the story: Think twice before blaming others, because some day you will have to pay for your deed.

Having first established the very qualities that one should stay away from, we see another story here to further illustrate the mindless devotion of a person to fulfill his duty.

One day, Lord Krishna decided to steal butter from his mom's house. Krishna's mother had tied a bell to the Big pot of butter that is hanging from the ceiling to alert her of any thief's presence. Lil Kid Krishna entered with his 6 friends with a plan of ravishing the butter.

So, they create a chain of people over whom Krishna was able to reach the pot, and that is when he sees the bell. He tells the bell to keep quiet and not ring. Krishna steals the butter from the pot, and the bell kept quiet.

He gives the butter to all his friends, and the bell kept quiet. He took some butter for himself and the bell kept quiet. But, the minute he put the butter in his mouth, the bell started ringing.

Krishna said "oh bell, I told you not to ring and now look you have me caught"

to which the Bell replied "oh lord, I kept quiet when you stole the butter, I kept quiet when you gave it to your friends. I kept quiet even when you took some for yourself. But, the second you ate it, I had to ring because I ring whenever you eat Prashaad in the temple. Out of habit, I rang".

Moral: One who does his duty without even realizing it.. has truly found the meaning of Devotion.

Smart Car Research

www.smart.com

Visit this website.. this is a car that i am going to be doing an ad-campaign on. Under what circumstances would you prefer to choose this car over the others in the market? As in.. whats important for you as an individual when you go out there and buy a car.

Actually, I would be grateful if you also can tell me, would you prefer a 'smart-car-for-two' or a 'smart-car-for-four'. (just ur opinion as a potential buyer).

Backdrop of this mission: I have a group of ppl, with whom I have set up an ad agency. We will be making an ad campaign for Smart car and try our best to renew its image in the minds of the locals. Now, since I am not a car-person.. I was hoping some of you can give me something to build upon. I just don't share that passion for cars as most men do..(i mean all)

PS: I accept any level of criticism about this car. You can even disregard it as not even being a 'car'.

Mayil Ravanan - Part II

NOTE: Please read Part I posted below before reading the following.

What we have established till now is that Sita, the daughter of Ravana is growing up in India as Janak King's daughter. Now, the rest of the events that unfold need to be looked with the above fact in mind. While Sita grew up in Janakpuri, astrologers in Lanka told Ravana that her daughter still lives and she lives as Sita. Ravana was happy to hear this. When Sita's beauty became wide spread and the famous competition of strength (as to who can break the massive bow) came to Ravana's ears, Ravana didn't let go of this chance. He fled to Janak City right away in quest of laying his eyes again on his lost-daughter. When He saw the competition that lay ahead, He thought that there is no one who can beat him at his strength. Ravana was a very PROUD Man. He decided to test the Bow with his own strength to see if his daughter gets a worthy partner for life! When Ravana saw that Rama bent the bow, He was happy and genuinely wished them both a good married life. He came back to his Kingdom a happy father.

But Alas, as destiny would have it the news of Rama being banished from his kingdom for 14 yrs in a forest devastated his peace of mind. Ravana was extremely unhappy about the fact that Rama did not become the successor to the throne of Dasharatha and thereby his daughter didn't become a queen. He was troubled with worry to find out how his daughter will manage in the meager benefits of a forest. Looking at his devastated state, Shoorpanaka his sister volunteered to go and see with her own eyes if her niece Sita is being kept well by Rama. Shoorpanaka sees Rama with Sita and Lakshamana. She sees how handsome Rama is and wonders if he is really as true to his character as a dutiful husband should be? Is he really a righteous husband to her beloved niece? So, Shoorpanaka came to Rama and made lustful moves at him for which Rama did not even get tempted one bit, but Lakshmana's anger was something she wasnt aware of.. which resulted in Lakshamana cutting off her nose. This hostility angered Shoorpanaka and she ended up giving a bad review about Rama and Lakshmana to Ravanan in Lanka. Ravanan was now angered and decided that he will save his daughter from such ill-tempered boys. He decided to bring her back to Lanka. But, Ravana knew that he can't touch any woman without her consent. Therefore,He sent his Uncle who was a magician(MAYAVI) to distract Rama. But, the Lakshman's rekha had to be surpassed. Ravanan took the form of Rishi so that Sita can come with her own will to Ravanan. This is what happened and led to the abduction of Sita.

Although epic critics have for long seen this act of abduction as Ravana wanting to covet another man's wife, the truth is that Ravana wanted to bring his daughter to safety. If Ravanan wanted to achieve his lustful ways with Sita, he could have tortured her until she agreed. But no epic shows any evidence of Ravanan being cruel to his daughter at any point. It was Sita, who didn't know the entire truth about her past, who was feeling bad and accused Ravanan of keeping her away from her husband Rama. But, Hanuman came to Lanka and set it on fire with his tail. This created havoc in his kingdom resulting to loss and devastation of innocent subjects' property. What King in his right mind will not care about the injustice done to his kingdom? What King will forget his duties as the protector? Certainly Ravanan didnt and wouldn't. He decided that Rama and his army would have to pay for this and that is why Ravana went for war against Rama, even though Rama was his own Son-In-Law!

No one can escape from his destiny. Rama became the Hero of the epic and therefore Good was won over Evil. But, it was meant to win because Every single Incarnation of Vishnu holds this as the main truth! But, Did u know that Ravana and his brother Kumbhakarna were Cursedd to this? Yes, Ravanan and his brother Kumbhakarnan are two Asuras who guard the gates of "VAIKUNTA" (the heavenly abode where Lord Vishnu Lives). When a Sage came and wanted to meet Lord Vishnu both the Asuras denied entrance because their Lord was resting at that time. The Sage's anger erupted and he cursed the two Asuras to be finding their death in the hands of their Lord in every single incarnation of Vishnu. In Ramayan, Kumbhakarna and Ravana both find their demise in hands of Lord Rama. In Krishna Avatar, Lord Kamsa and his brother also find their demise in hands of Lord Krishna. Now, these Asuras are not entirely bad because if you come to think of it they have the noble role of bringing glory to their Lord in every avatar of Lord Vishnu.

This explaination of Ramayan and the importance of Ravanan is referred to as "MAYIL RAVANAN". Ravanan who lived somewhere in Lanka didn't have to bother with some girl called Sita, didn't have to abduct her when he had a beautiful wife at home. Ravana was a devoted father and was a great King. But, alas.. he was too proud of himself and he tried to escape from the grasp of Karma. Thus, our Indian ideology is proven yet right again that Karma is what determines what happens and what will happen eventually.

THE END
Source: My mother..who heard it from her mother.. who heard it from her mother..who....and the list goes on! :)

Mayil Ravanan - part I

Kid: Amma, what is that God's name?
Mother: That is Lord RAMA. And beside him is his brother Lakshmana and wife Sita.
Kid: Mamma.. who is Rama?
Mother: Rama was a great King. He is incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He came on this earth as son of Dasharatha and married Goddess Lakshmi who is Sita. When Sita was abducted by this Evil 10-headed Demon called Ravana, Lord Rama took his army of Monkeys with aid of his loyal servant Hanuman and set Lanka on fire and got Sita back.

............

This is what the Valmiki Ramayan is all about. Our elders and teachers in school have taught us Ramayan as this epic where again according to Hindu Ideology Good wins over Evil. Oh.. and the Evil here is Ravana. Now, instead of focusing entirely on the Hero and Heroine (as is usually the case) I want you all to zoom into this really interesting character called RAVANAN. Who is He? What is his role in Ramayan? Why is he so evil when he has a flourishing Kingdom? Why did he make many dumb moves such as abducting Sita even after knowing she was married? Please read on and all your questions will be answered one by one.

Ravana is a prosperous King of a kingdom called Sri Lanka. He is a very strong SHIVA BHAKTA. Ravana has done many tapasyas and won Boons from Lord Shiva which has made him as one Invincible King. Ravana is a very well-talented musician. Ravana has a WIFE..Yes.. a Wife who is a very nice and loving Queen. Ravana had brothers and sister including VIBHEESHAN (who is a good guy essentialy as he helped Rama in the end) and KUMBHAKARNA (the very famous Sleeping Giant who gets slayed by Rama) And last but not least the ugly sinful woman called SHOORPANAKA who got her nose cut off when she tried to come near Rama. So.. what's missing in this picture? Where is the 10 headed Demon who created problems in Ramayan? Does he have ten-heads??? really??? Dont you think the subjects of Sri Lanka would have banished him for being a weird king?

Haha, This whole scenario is funny because the Truth is not what you see but it is the way you perceive it. Ravana is just another powerful King like many others. Ravana doesnt have 10 heads.. but he has ten 'goon' (qualities) that is portrayed as 10 heads in all comics. Ravana was a righteous King and ruled his subjects well. But, alas.. Karma is what destroyed him. Ravana did a mistake in his rein. He once playfully made lustful moves on a female-Rishi called VEDAVATI (who is rishi born out of Vedas). Vedavati was devoted to Vishnu and accepted him as the husband in her mind.. but Ravana tried to force her into marrying Him and he pulled her hair. Vedavati cut her hairr and looked at him with anguish and said... "You have touched a woman without her acceptance and therefore I Curse You that if you ever touch a woman without her will your head will blow to pieces. Because you have tested my purity today I am going to burn myself and I will return back to kill you. You will be destroyed because of ME!" So she said and burnt herself alive chanting "Om Nama shivaaya".

Long forgotten Ravana married and lived happily with his Queen who bore him a GIRL child. When Astrologerss came to look at the horoscope and tell the destiny of the child they said.."Ravana, this child of yours if you proclaim her as your daughter then she will destroy you. She is born here to vanquish you and your kingdom" Ravana was aghastt.. and didnt know what to do. His wife laid asleep after her child-birth and Ravana and his brothers and sister decided to hide this fact and cast-away the girl child in a river. They told Ravana's wife that her daughter died. In some Kingdom in India, Janak King found a small casket with a beautiful little girl child in a river. He takes the girl and calls her SITA and brings her up as his own daughter.

What have we established till now? Sita is Ravana's own daughter! Please read on the part II for the continuation.
